Kendrick sat over "Alright" for about six months before the song was actually complete. This version presumably features Pharrell's original production present on Fabolous' tune and includes an open verse as Kendrick was looking for the right lyrics. Stated by Kendrick himself for GQ Style's holliday issue.

It includes the scrapped second verse that Kendrick once shared in an interview to Power 106 FM and reuses lyrics from "i (Album Version)", which means that it would most likely scrapped very late. The first two verses were featured from a freestyle on BigBoyTV called Real 92.3 Freestyle. Recorded on January 4th, 2015 according to its metadata. Sold for 1.5K.
