He responded to people thinking he leaked the song on accident with "I got the call from the CËO. relax." Was likely considered for BNYX®'s debut album, but scrapped and leaked.

He uploaded the track to SoundCloud soon after, sharing it in an Instagram post captioned "heliMAn …………. Real heli man #only on souncdloud now tye shit." Later removed from SoundCloud on April 22, 2024, then back up on the same day.

Fanpage @yeatupdates previewed the intro of the track in an Instagram Story captioned "WHO THERE?" on April 14, 2024, where the runtime was visible. After announcing on May 2, 2024 that a track was dropping at midnight, the Lyfestyle Corporation Instagram account announced that 2 new songs would be dropping, one being this.

Track 12 on Bando Stone and The New World by Childish Gambino. Childish Gambino originally began working on the track in 2014. A rough idea version with mumble, some finished parts and an open verse allegedly some time between 2017-2018 was listed for sale by TheSource on May 5, 2021 and forceleaked years later on April 17, 2023, leaking later in higher bitrate on December 25, 2023. On January 7, 2024, Yeat posted an Instagram Story captioned "me n gambino going chips for grass and yall would never know," first teasing a Childish Gambino collaboration. On January 31, Yeat announced that his album 2093 was going to drop in February in an Instagram slideshow captioned "2093ISCOMING...... 2.??.42," including an image of him in the studio with Childish Gambino. On February 24, 2024, Yeat posted the credits of "Power Trip" with Donald Glover's name in an Instagram Story captioned "Dont worry we have more for yall," indicating at least another collaboration between the two. This track was performed by Childish Gambino at the Little Island Listening Party on July 6, 2024, featuring finished vocals compared to his previous versions, new instrumentation, and a guest feature from Yeat.
