OG Filename: SO WHAT_RUFF 1 - 10.2.17 A 2017 reference track which was given to Baby Keem for "Sound Of A Bad Habit". Was thought to be dated October 27th, 2018 until the OG file leaked. Includes a completed hook with some different words from the final version of the song. The song is also partially mumble and in mono. Forceleaked on Oct 7, 2025.
OG Filename: JB-BLOODYWATERS This is an extended solo version of "Bloody Waters" recorded by James Blake, which Kendrick later cut down along with "Black Out / King's Dead" to make James Blake a feature for the final versions of the songs. This version of the song has more James Blake vocals.
Mentioned by Jay Rock in an interview to Power 106 FM in January 2018. Original version of "King's Dead" with solo Kendrick rapping the chorus and a verse that would later be used by Jay Rock on release. Contains no Jay Rock vocals or other parts of the song. Notably does not feature a reference for any of Future's parts, meaning Future very likely wrote his own bars.
An unheard throwaway from 'Black Panther', has Kendrick vocals.
An unheard throwaway from 'Black Panther', has Kendrick vocals.
OG Filename: 01 All the stars sza reference Leaked on LEAKTH.IS on September 29, 2018 as part of the "TDE Collection" leaks. Features original production, Kendrick doing a hook reference for SZA and an open verse.
An alternate version of "Paramedic!" from the Black Panther album which has Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and SZA as main artists assigned to the track. Though SZA is listed as a performer, she is not credited with songwriting. Possibly a remix of the song which never released. Registered in the ASCAP repertory at an unknown date. Recognized on 2/27/2025.
Mike Dean remix of "goosebumps" used as a backing track for Travis' shows. Still features Kendrick.
Originally titled "Bloody Hands". Has additional vocals by James Blake and Raekwon. Kendrick appears to be laying down a reference chorus which was completely scrapped for the final release.
An unheard throwaway from 'Black Panther', intended as an interlude.
Released as a single on September 26th, 2017. Also track 2 on Rich The Kid's album "The World Is Yours".
Freestyle recorded by Kendrick Lamar, which was cut down to his feature verse on the 2017 Rich The Kid song “New Freezer”. Over the course of the 11-minute freestyle, Kendrick is heard coming up with his verse along with the same flow again and again on the song. He repeatedly raps most of the same lines, while coming with different ones shortly after but also mumbling a lot. In addition, he also talks about other things and is heard drinking tea during the freestyle.
OG Filename: JB778 This is an extended solo version of "King's Dead" recorded by James Blake, which Kendrick later cut down along with "Bloody Waters" to make James Blake a feature for the final versions of the songs. This version of the song, which was seemingly separate from "King's Dead" like is listed on some tracklists, has more James Blake vocals. Part of his vocals were repurposed for his feature on Travis Scott's "TIL FURTHER NOTICE", which he performs the hook.
Mentioned by Jay Rock in an interview to Power 106 FM in January 2018. Original version of "King's Dead" with solo Kendrick rapping the chorus and a verse that would later be used by Jay Rock on release. Contains no Jay Rock vocals or other parts of the song. Future originally layed down a different verse for "King's Dead" which had the "La-di-da-di-da" part but Future only kept it so then it could be made as the outro of the song or whatever Kendrick felt it could've been used for. Ultimately, Kendrick kept his actual verse on the released version because that was his favorite part. Jay Rock was already added on the song at this point, but it's possible that a solo version of the track with Future-only exists with him freestyling so his verse can be cut down to his feature. Confirmed by Future in an interview with Genius released on January 15, 2019. Begins at 16:30s.
Track 4 off U2's album "Songs Of Experience".
